Between September 14 and 25 the president of WESCO, Mr. Daniel Cossi, Mr. Kenneth vice-president of China Region of WESCO, and members countries of WESCO and university athletes were present at the WESCO Esports Summit 2018 and WESCO World University Championship 2018 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China.
At the time there were 3 Forums on technology, e-commerce and electronic sports. The president of WESCO, as well as president of CBDEL (Brazilian Confederation of Esports) and PAMESCO (Pan American Confederation of Esports), participated in all the events, in addition to having an official institutional partnership with 5 other countries, China, Portugal, Mongolia, Mexico and Russia, and 4 other partnership agreements with Chinese Associations of Esports from various provinces.
The participation of FIFA 2018 athlete Bruno Teruo, by direct invitation, was given in the university competition, where the athlete was in 3rd place. The event was attended by the first referee of electronic sports in the Americas, Ms. Kathleen Cossi, also director of arbitration at WESCO, where she participated with two more regional sports referees.
The Vice President of CBDEL, Mr. Victor Martin accompanied the entourage by attending 2 Esports and E-Commerce Forums in addition to attending the world university games ceremony. Other countries members delagation such as Mexico, Portugal, Mongolia, Russia and others were in the Summit, Forums, and many other presentations and meetings.
18 countries participated in the University Championship, in addition to business forums and dinners at the special invitation of the Governor of Hebei Province, the Mayor of Shijiazhuang City, and the Federal Government of China (where the director of esports, Mr. Tang was present ), mr. Daniel Cossi has signed exclusive and bilateral cooperation treaties between Brazil and China. Mr. Daniel Cossi had already concluded exclusive cooperation agreements between Brazil and China in 2016, together with the Chinese Ministry of Sports and Ministry of Culture, and now in 2018 expanded these agreements with Chinese provinces, associations, companies and cities, making a total of 12 agreements (only between CBDEL and the Chinese counterpart), with China.
A cooperation and partnership agreement was also signed with CECC (China Electronic Chamber of Commerce), between CBDEL and CECC where there is a forecast of technology exchange, use of Chinese band between regional competitions and exchange with the support of CECC, of Brazilian and Chinese athletes, in addition to the exclusive support of CECC for CBDEL, Daniel Cossi, now at the invitation of the president of CECC, is part of the Electronic Sports Committee of CECC.
With sponsorship from Coca-Cola, Dell Alienware, Unigamer Esports Chairs, and CECC (China Electronic Chamber of Commerce), the event was a success, covering 4 days of competition and 3 days of Forums.
